The reveal of the latest Nissan Altima follows the first public showing of the upcoming Nissan NV200 “Taxi of Tomorrow” at an event last evening hosted by Nissan. Both vehicles will be on display throughout the run of the show, April 6th through April 15th, at New York City’s Jacob Javits Convention Center. In addition, the Nissan Pathfinder Concept, a preview of the next-gen Nissan Pathfinder SUV, makes its New York debut at the show.

The new 2013 Altima and Pathfinder are the first of five all-new models Nissan is launching in the next 15 months. The 2011 calendar year was the sixth consecutive year of market share gains for Nissan in the U.S., with the Altima ranking as the second best-selling car in the U.S. The Altima goes on sale at Nissan dealers nationwide in July at a starting M.S.R.P. of $21,500. Nissan has released a fourth video clip and image offering a glimpse of the bold design of the all-new 2013 Altima sedan in advance of its world premiere at the New York Auto Show in April. The sculpted bodyside surface communicates forward motion and aerodynamics even when standing still.

Nissan today debuted the revised 2013 Nissan 370Z on the floor of the 2012 Chicago Auto Show.  The new Z, which is scheduled to go on sale at Nissan dealers nationwide next June, features a number of enhancements designed to keep the legendary sports car fresh and exciting.  For 2013, the Nissan 370Z will once again be available in Coupe, Roadster and NISMO Z configurations.

The NISMO 370Z also adds a new Bose Premium Audio Package with two additional speakers and two subwoofers, premium gun metallic dark-finish 19-inch wheels, and Nissan GT-R style high-rigidity brake hoses and performance brake fluid.  The NISMO 370Z does not adopt the new front fascia/rear reflector, Euro-tuned shocks or Midnight Blue exterior color.

One of the most acclaimed supercars in automotive history, the Nissan GT-R is the ultimate expression of the Nissan brand and its “Innovation for All” philosophy.  A multi-dimensional performance machine that lives up to the concept of “the ultimate supercar that can be driven by anyone, anytime, anywhere,” the Nissan GT-R receives a number of engine and suspension refinements for the 2013 model year, all designed to enhance its already legendary performance.

The major refinements to GT-R’s renowned engineering masterpiece of an engine include improved intake efficiency, reduced airflow resistance including an enlarged air intake duct for the intercooler, and improved exhaust emissions efficiency and enhanced control.  The engine is hand-assembled in a special clean room, similar to racing powerplant construction.  As a result, horsepower is rated at 545 hp, an increase of 15 hp over the 2012 GT-R’s 530 hp.  Similarly, torque has been increased to 463 lb-ft from 448 lb-ft.
